Black Soul is a men’s woody spicy cologne with warm spicy and balsamic main accords. Released in 2009, this fragrance blends resins, cinnamon, and tolu balsam with mint, guaiac wood, cardamom, and musk. Additional notes include saffron, Chinese cedar, neroli, lemon blossom, and bergamot. With moderate to long lasting longevity and moderate sillage, this scent is best for fall and winter night wear. Perfumer Alexandra Carlin of Symrise is the nose behind this aroma. The flacon is Black with a silver topper.

Ted Lapidus founded his fashion line in 1951, after serving an apprenticeship with Christian Dior. He is known for creating the unisex look, bringing safari and military looks into haute couture, and popularizing blue jeans. In the 1970s, the brand broadened its product offerings to accessories and began working with L’Oreal on fragrances. Jacques Bogart Group currently holds the fragrance license and the Lapidus fashion house focuses on accessories and fragrances, retiring haute couture.
